A very rare Ferrari 599 GTO has been recently crashed and burned in the Dominican Republic, after its driver probably lost control of the wheel due to high speed.
We have always said here on inautonews.com that where ever there will be exotic cars there will also be exotic car crashes and the latest example of such an unfortunate incident is coming all the way from the Dominican Republic, where a Ferrari 599 GTO has definitely seen better days. According to the guys at thekarmann.kinja.com, the Italian supercar in question has burned after it was crash. The driver walked away unharmed, which is more than we can say about his ride.
More details on the crash remain unknown, but if you know more than us, please feel free to share. As a quick reminder, the Ferrari 599 GTO has been officially announced on the 8th of April. The model is a road-going version of the 599XX and, at that time, it was the fastest road car ever to be produced by Ferrari, after lapping the Fiorano track in 1m and 24s. The unit found under its hood is producing 661 HP (493 kW) and 620 Nm of torque (460 lb-ft), enough for a 0 to 100 km/h in under 3.3 seconds and a 335 km/h.
