The Italian based automaker Ferrari is planning to unveil its latest supercar, the 620 GT, the successor to the 599 GTB, on the 22nd of February, ahead of its official debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.
Even if there is no official word on revealing the Ferrari 620 GT from the car company, rumors say that the supercar will be presented on the 22nd of February, ahead of its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The same rumors which are announcing its official debut are also saying that the successor to the Ferrari 599 GTB will actually be named the 620 GT and not the F620 as we have previously announced.
Under the hood, the newest supercar in Ferrari’s lineup, the 620 GT, is expected to share the same engine as the four-wheel drive FF model, which means that the vehicle will be powered by the 6.3 liter V12 unit which will be developing a total output of 700 horsepower. The engine will be mated to a dual-clutch seven-speed transmission, the same one used in the 458 Italia, but there is no official word on whether the supercar will come with four or two-wheel drive. The Ferrari 620 GT will ride on an aluminum intensive platform and its body will be influenced by the FF. More details on the supercar on February 22, when it will be revealed in Maranello.
