In a more concerned with saving the environment by reducing the cars’ CO2 emissions and fuel consumption, while getting rid of W12, V12, V10 and some V8 engines, we are more than excited to find out that Ferrari will not enter the electric vehicle segment.
According to the Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo, EVs aren’t the future when talking about pollution and CO2, and the supercar manufacturer will focus on developing a hybrid Ferrari.
“You will never see a Ferrari electric because I don’t believe in electric cars, because I don’t think they represent an important step forward for pollution or CO2 or the environment. We are working very, very hard on the hybrid Ferrari. This should be the future and I hope in a couple of years you can see it”, said Luca di Montezemolo.
It’s not so hard to imagine the majority of cars running on electricity or hydrogen in a few years but what will Ferrari use to replace the great engine noise, a surround sound system?
