Sunday Times has recently named the new Ferrari F12 Berlinetta the “Best Supercar and Luxury Car” of 2012.
After a week ago the Ferrari 458 Spider was named the “Best Sports Car and Cabrio” by Sunday Times, the same British newspaper has awarded its larger brother, the F12 Berlinetta, the “Best Supercar and Luxury Car”. “Best supercar” we can understand but “Best Luxury Car?” A Ferrari? With a V12 and 740 HP under its hood, rear wheel drive, stiff suspension and steering wheel paddle shifters?
“It sounds like it should be an uncontrollable animal, but most of the time the F12 is actually a rather civilized car”, said a journalist from The Sunday Times Driving.
The F12 Berlinetta is the fastest Ferrari ever build and it’s powered by a 6,262 cc B12 engine, which is producing a total output of 740 horsepower and 509 lb-ft of torque (690 Nm), out of which 80 percent is available from just 2,500 rpm. The Italian supercar is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 8.5 seconds. The F12 Berlinetta is the official replacement for the 599 GTB.
