The upcoming range-topping version of the Ferrari F12 will be unveiled next week, according to a recent report.
The development of a hotter Ferrari F12 version is no longer a surprise. The supercar has been caught on camera several times now and it has starred in various reports. However, the newest rumor with it is telling us that it might be unveiled next week, in what is expected to be a special even hosted in Maranello.
According to the guys from TSK, this will be called the VS, Version Speciale as they are naming it, but chances are it will be known as the “Versione Speciale”. Keep in mind that its direct successor, the 599, has been called the GTO, so don’t rule out this moniker either, or the “Speciale” one either. Whatever its name will be, this will compete against the Lamborghini Aventador SV and it will be more powerful and probably faster than its direct rival.
The Ferrari F12 Versione Speciale will be getting some aerodynamic tweaks and a massive weight will be dropped from its body: 200 kg. This means improved performance and better handling. The 6.3 liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, shared with the FF and the LaFerrari, will continue to be offered under its hood, but its total output will be raised from the current 730 HP to a total of 760 HP. Additional details on the upcoming flagship supercar are limited for now and will probably be announced once this will debut officially.
