Ferrari f599 Fiorano – The most powerful berlinetta image

The Ferrari f599 GTB Fiorano – codenamed F141, is the most powerful Italian gran turismo produced by Ferrari.

According to the automaker, the super gran turismo f599 was designed with several specific objectives in mind: to increase driving pleasure, to guarantee performance (courtesy of technology transfers from the F1 single-seaters), and to ensure comfort, ergonomics and safety.

Styled by Pininfarina design house, under the direction of Ferrari’s Frank Stephenson, the supercar debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in February 2006. It is named for its total engine displacement (5999 cc) – 599, Gran Turismo Berlinetta nature, and the Fiorano Circuit test track used by Ferrari.

It features a 6.0-liter V12 engine derived directly from the Enzo supercar, producing 620 hp at 7,600 rpm and 446 pound-feet of torque at 5,600 rpm,  making it the most powerful series production Ferrari road car of the time. Important is that this engines found on the Ferrari F599 is one of the few engines whose output exceeds 100 hp per liter of displacement without any sort of forced-induction mechanism such as turbos.

Dynamically adjustable MagneRide suspension enables the 599 to offer a smooth ride for cruising, while still taking corners like a track-oriented supercar.  A traditional 6-speed manual transmission comes as standard. Ferrari’s 6-speed called “F1 SuperFast” is offered as an optional.
