The first official images with the Ferrari F70’s engine have been revealed by the Italian based automaker.
After the engine of the Ferrari F70 has leaked just a day before writing this news, the unit has been officially revealed in a few images by the Maranello based carmaker and this was derived from the 6.3 liter found on the Ferrari FF and on the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. Besides the large petrol burner, the Ferrari F70, which is the successor of the Enzo, will get two electric motors which will cut down on CO2 emissions by approximately 40 percent and they will also help improve the fuel consumption.
The first electric motor will be used as a generator for capturing the kinetic energy and sending it to the lithium-ion battery pack and the second one will charge the auxiliary systems. The total output developed by the hybrid Ferrari is expected to be 920 horsepower, with 800 HP coming from the petrol burner and the extra 120 HP from the electric motors, which will help the supercar accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds. Additional details on the model are limited for the moment and will be announced sometimes next year, when the supercar is expected to be unveiled.
