Ferrari LaFerrari receives 700 orders

Ferrari has recently announced that more than 700 orders have been received for the brand new LaFerrari supercar.

The announcement has been made by the Maranello based automaker’s boss Luca di Montezemolo, who will have the difficult job of choosing 499 future owners of the brand new LaFerrari, out of the 700 who have shown their interest for the supercar. Montezemolo says that future owners of the Ferrari LaFerrari will have a single customization option, the color of the supercar, which can be Red, Black, or Yellow. Other shades will become available for an extra cost.

As a quick reminder, the Ferrari LaFerrari is the company’s first hybrid supercar. The model will rival the McLaren P1 and the Porsche 918 Spyder and it’s powered by a 6,262cc V12 engine, producing 800 HP (588 kW) at 9,000 rpm and 700 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm, mated to an electric motor, with 163 HP (120 kW) and 270 Nm of torque (199 lb-ft). The total output stands at 963 HP (708 kW) and it’s enough to allow the supercar to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph). Prices for the supercar start at 1.3 million euros in Italy, taxes included.
