The Italian based automaker Ferrari is planning to introduce the convertible version of the LaFerrari, which might hit the market sometimes next year.
The company’s most powerful production model up to date, and also its first ever hybrid supercar, the LaFerrari, is getting ready to receive a new body style, the roadster. The model in question will be even more expensive than the one already available and, even if there has been no official announcement on it for the moment, the guys from automobilemag are saying that it will be introduced in 2015, along with the LaFerrari XX.
The new Ferrari LaFerrari Spider is believed to be produced in just 50 units and it will be twice as expensive as the coupe, turning out to cost approximately 2 million euros, making it more expensive than the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. Power will be provided by the same 6.3 liter V12 engine, rated at 789 HP (588 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft), backed up by the 161 HP (120 kW) electric motor. The total output will stand at 950 HP (708 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque, the same as the coupe. The LaFerrari Spider will come with a RWD and a 7-speed dual clutch automated transmission too.
