Ferrari has brought the brand new LaFerrari supercar to the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show, where the model has made its Asian debut.
After being officially presented to the public during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the Ferrari LaFerrari is ending up in our news once again, this time with the carmaker bringing it to the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show. The model will also become available in China and, out of its 499 units, only 50 will be sold in the Asian country, though the 25 dealerships existing there. Amedeo Felisa, the Ferrari managing director, said that five more Ferrari dealerships will be opened in China next year and 5 more in 2015.
As a quick reminder, the Ferrari LaFerrari is powered by a 6,262cc V12 engine, producing 800 HP (588 kW) at 9,000 rpm and 700 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm, mated to an electric motor, with 163 HP (120 kW) and 270 Nm of torque (199 lb-ft). The total output stands at 963 HP (708 kW) and it’s enough to allow the supercar to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph). The LaFerrari will set you back for 1,3 million EUR. The supercar is rivaling the McLaren P1 and the upcoming Porsche 918 Spyder.
