It’s a very special year indeed for the Prancing Horse brand, and what better way of celebrating your company of choice anniversary than to take your own Ferrari down for the year’s Cavalcade.
Ferrari has been in festive mode all year long as it cranks the celebrations for the 70th anniversary – they even presented a milestone model, the great LaFerrari Aperta. It was of course at the very heart of the sixth edition of the Ferrari Cavalcade – a “traveling show” reserved to the “most loyal customers and collectors.” No less than 100+ cars owned by customers from more than 30 countries answered to the call – the starting point of the even was at Borgo Egnazia in Italy. The scenic drive that ensued for sure was the prime delight of bystanders.
Of course many of the Cavalcade 2017 participants had recent Ferrari models such as the 488 Spider, California T, F12tdf, and the GTC4Lusso – but the Aperta was also seconded by the iconic trio: F40, F50, and Enzo. Unfortunately, the 812 Superfast, the brand’s most powerful and fastest regular production model in history was not on call. By the way, others are also celebrating the heritage – RM Sotheby’s is paying homage Ferrari’s 70th anniversary and also making a buck or two by setting up the largest Ferrari auction ever – September 8 to 10 in Maranello.
