Ferrari has recently brought the one-off SP12 EC at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed, which was specially designed for Eric Clapton.
After it was officially presented more than a year ago, for the first time, the Ferrari SP12 EC is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the carmaker bringing it to the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The model in question has been designed by Centro Stile Ferrari, in collaboration with Maranello engineers and Pininfarina, and the supercar has been commissioned by Eric Clapton, the world famous musician.
The Ferrari SP12 EC is based on the 458 Italia and it was inspired by the 512 Berlinetta Boxer, wanting to be a modern version of the classic supercar. The rebodied Ferrari 458 Italia has received a 4.5 liter V8 engine, which is producing a total output of 570 HP (419 kW) and 540 Nm of torque (398 lb-ft). The 0 to 100 km/h sprint is done in less than 3.4 seconds and top speed stands at 326 km/h (202 mph). The price of the supercar has been set at 3 million GBP (3.4m EUR / 4.5m USD). You know you’re a rich man when Ferrari agrees to develop a one-off model for you.
