The aftermarket specialists from Road Race Motorsports have officially pulled the wraps of a modified version of the Fiat 500 Abarth which is coming in with an impressive 250 HP.
The Fiat 500 Abarth in question has received an upgrade package for the engine which is allowing the 1.4 liter turbocharged four-cylinder unit to produce no less than 250 HP (186 kW) and 250 lb-ft (339 Nm) of torque. The pocket rocket is also lighter than the standard car by 54 kg (119 lbs) thanks to the use of carbon fiber and to the stripped out interior cabin.
The model in question has been named the 500 M1 Turbo Tallini Competizione and despite being powerful and getting things usually used on race cars, such as the stripped out interior, it is still a road-legal car and it has the same front-wheel drive layout. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration is made in just over 6 seconds. These items are not what you may call cheap as Road Race Motorsport has priced them from 60,000 GBP and the full upgrade kit will be limited to just 50 units. From 10,000 GBP, there are lesser packages also available.
