Fiat has officially announced its plans to introduce the so-called 500 Cabrio 1957 Edition to the United States, where this will start its deliveries later on this spring.
In case you have been wondering what new special edition of the Fiat 500 is the Italian based automaker preparing, don’t worry, because the small city cruiser probably remains one of the vehicles with the most special editions ever to have been created. The newest one has been called the Fiat 500 Cabrio 1957 and it has been recently announced for the United States.
“We continue to expand the FIAT lineup. The Fiat 500 1957 Edition celebrates the spirit of the original 1957 Nuova 500, and with the arrival of a cabrio version, we are adding open-air fun to the iconic Italian-designed Fiat 500 1957 Edition”, said the head of Fiat brand for North American, Jason Stoicevich.
The brand new Fiat 500 Cabrio 1957 Edition is coming with a power operated cloth top, with some classic exterior color choices, with 16-inch retro wheels with the historic Fiat logo on it, with new Fiat badges and with a two-tone leather interior finish. The model is taking its power from the 1.4 liter MultiAir engine, which is capable of sending 102 HP (75 kW) and 132 Nm (98 lb-ft) of torque to the wheels. The unit can be connected to a standard 5-speed manual or an optional 6-speed automatic. Prices start from 24,700 USD and deliveries will begin later this spring.
