The small Italian Fiat 500 vehicle, in its Cabriolet and singed by Gucci version, has been recently named the “Best Small Convertible of the Year” at the SAMA Convertible Drive.
According to the car manufacturer, the 2012 Fiat 500 by Gucci has fascinated auto enthusiasts and fashionistas since it was officially presented to the public, during the New York Fashion week, last year in September, and this recent award was just what the company needed.
“We are honored by SAMA’s recognition, particularly because SAMA members really know everything about cabrios. By partnering with Gucci, we brought something truly unique into the marketplace, demonstrating that exquisite Italian style, features and technology could convene in a small-car formula. Proof of this success is that we have almost immediately sold out every single model of this special edition”, said the head of the Fiat Brand in North America, Tim Kuniskis.
As a quick reminder, the Fiat 500 by Gucci is coming with Frau bi-color leather seats, seven airbags, automatic climate control, the Blue & Me system, parking sensors, audio CD and MP3, leather wrapped steering wheel, the Gucci logo inserted in various elements in both the cabin and on the exterior design and a fresh set of 16-inch alloy wheels, with the fashion designer’s logo in the middle. The Fiat 500 by Gucci is taking its power from a 1.4 liter 16-valve MultiAir engine, which is developing a total output of 101 HP and 98 lb-ft of torque, mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The model has been priced at 20,000 euros on the Old Continent.
