The Italian automotive company Fiat launched a limited 100 units of the 500 model in China.
The graphics of the popular Fiat 500, based on the 500 Lounge, launched in Shanghai were made by five young Chinese designers.
Future customers of a regular 500 in China will take part in a final draw, which can result in the replacement of the car with a 500 “First Edition”.
“The start of the pre-ordered stage is a fundamental stage for the 500 launch in China and will mark an important step forward in the joint project of Fiat and GAC. The objective of the 500 is to position our brand on this market because it is the model that best expresses the values of Fiat”, said the company’s CEO, Lorenzo Sistino.
The limited edition of the Fiat 500 is powered by a 1.4 litre MultiAir engine, connected to an automatic six speed transmission, developing 101 HP and a torque of 133 Nm.
Representing a “symbol that joins the two cultures”, as Sistino explained, the 500 “First Edition” is just one of many versions and special series of the little popular car. According to the manufacturer, next year Fiat will be launching the 500C convertible and an exclusive “500 by Gucci” series.
