The Italian based automaker Fiat has recently released the very first images and details with the 500E, ahead of the model’s official debut during the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The Fiat 500E hasn’t changed too much compared to the regular version, except for its different lower white front fascia, aero underbody lip, lower side sills, new wheels and possibly low-rolling tires. The cabin of the model is getting a white and orange theme and the gauge cluster has been updated while the regular gear shifter has been replaced by push buttons.
“The all-new battery-electric Fiat 500e brings Italian flavor to the electric vehicle market with a unique combination of iconic 500 design, performance and range”, as the automaker is saying in its official press release.
The 2013 Fiat 500E is expected to get an electric engine under its hood which should offer 100 HP (75 kW), along with a lithium-ion battery pack. The Fiat 500E will offer a 100-mile (160 km) range on a single charge and the model will arrive in showrooms across California in mid 2013. Additional details on the model are limited for the moment and will be announced during the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show on the 28th of November.
