The Fiat 500X crossover has recently leaked out in its first official image, ahead of its public debut which will take place next month, during the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
The development or the introduction of the 500X at the 2014 Paris Motor Show are no longer a surprise for anyone who is closely reading the automotive news but what comes as a first is that the upcoming crossover has leaked out in an official image, ahead of its public debut. The brand new Fiat 500X is riding on the same platform as the Jeep Renegade and this will not be the only thing shared between the two models.
Rumors are saying that the compact crossover will also be offered with a wide array of four-cylinder MultiAir and MultiJet II engines, borrowed from the North American vehicle, along with the 4×4 system on the more expensive variants. The engines will be connected to either a six-speed manual, to a nine-speed automatic or to a dual-clutch DDCT transmission. The Fiat 500X will go against the Nissan Juke, the Peugeot 2008, the Renault Captur, the Opel Mokka, Ford EcoSport, Chevrolet Trax and so on. More details on it will be announced during the French automotive event.
