The Fiat 500X Opening Edition has been officially unveiled ahead of its sale date which has been scheduled for early next year.
Fiat has officially pulled the wraps off its newest creation, the 500X Opening Edition, after unveiling the regular model a couple of weeks ago, during the 2014th edition of the Paris Motor Show. According to the car manufacturer, the entry-level version of the model has received some special badging, an Art Grey exterior, rear tinted windows, automatic climate control, the Safety and Comfort packages and 18-inch alloy wheels. The top of the line version is coming with an Amore Red exterior design, along with automatic headlights and rain sensing wipers, an electrochromic rearview mirror, a two-tone interior, the Uconnect infotainment system with GPS navigation and so on.
As far as the engine lineup goes, Fiat says that the 500X Opening Edition will be offered with a 1.6 liter MultiJet II, with 120 HP (88 kW), along with a 1.4 liter Turbo MultiAir II, rated at 140 HP (103 kW). The entry-level special edition will be offered with front-wheel drive, but if the all-wheel drive is what you are looking for than you should turn your head towards the 2.0 liter MultiJet II engine, rated at 140 HP (103 kW). The Fiat 500X Opening Edition will go on sale in Italy, France, Germany, Spain and Switzerland and it will become available in 2,000 units, priced from 21,900 euros.
