The Fiat 500XL will be officially presented to the public in a world premiere during the 2012 Paris Motor Show which will open its gates next month.
After the Fiat 500XL has leaked a few days before writing this article over the web, revealing is its exterior design from just about every angle, the model is ending up in our news one more time, thanks to the guys at autobild.de, who are saying that the model will make its world debut next month, during the 2012 Paris Motor Show. Our source is also saying that besides the “classic” TwinAir or MultiJet engines, an Abarth version, with all-wheel drive, is expected to make its way onto the market later on.
The Fiat 500XL is based on the five-door Fiat 500L, which was first shown at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March, but the 500XL is coming with seven seats and it’s considered to be a successor of the Multipla model. The Fiat 500L, on which the 500XL is based, is 4,140 mm long, 1,780 mm wide and 1,660 mm tall and it will pack a 1.4 liter four-cylinder, a 1.3 liter MultiJet diesel and also an eco-Drive version. The 500L will be made on the SUSW (Small U.S. Wide) platform.
