The Italian based automaker Fiat has recently announced its plans to introduce the Doblo Trekking at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, on the 3rd of March.
Besides the usual special editions of the 500, Fiat will also pull the wraps off the Doblo Trekking, during the same Swiss automotive event. The model in question has been designed to appeal to people who are in search of a rugged van and it has received features such as the plastic body side mouldings, the modified front and rear bumpers, the fog lights, the skid plate, privacy glass, 10 mm increased ride height, 16-inch alloy wheels wrapped in all-season tires and several other tweaks.
“Debut of the new Doblò Trekking, which will be available in the coming months, positioned as the ideal answer for anyone who drives mainly in the city but wants to be able to drive safely on roads with poor grip while enjoying outdoor activities. A merit of the exclusive “outdoor” features of the exterior, the adoption of “Traction+” as well as 10 mm raised chassis height”, says the carmaker in the official press release.
Besides the updated exterior, the new Fiat Doblo Trekking is getting the carried over cabin which can be equipped with the eco-leather seats which can also be wrapped in fabric, with the eco-leather wrapped dashboard, Uconnect infotainment system with GPS, cruise control and so on. AWD hasn’t been adopted to the van but the Traction+ traction control system has been added. No pricing or performance specifications have been announced yet but the model will become available for order over the next few months.
