Fiat has recently unveiled the so-called Freemont Cross, which will be officially presented to the public during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, in early March.
The new Fiat Freemont Cross is basically the Italian version of the Dodge Journey. The model in question has received a more rugged exterior design, which is highlighted by the platinum chrome accents on the front and rear bumpers, by the larger wheel arches, the black frames around the headlights and taillights, the 19-inch Hyper black alloy wheels and some other tweaks.
As far as the items found in its cabin, the Fiat Freemont Cross is getting features such as the leather upholstery, the liquid graphite highlights on the steering wheel, dashboard, center console, instruments and door panel and more. Standard items include the 8.4-inch touch screen sat-nav, the 6-speaker Alpine sound system with an amplifier and a subwoofer, the rearview camera, 10-way driver’s electric adjustable seat, built-in child boosters and others.
Fiat says that the Freemont Cross can be ordered with either a 2.0 liter four-cylinder MultiJet II, which is coming in two output levels, with 140 HP (103 kW) or 170 HP (125 kW). The less powerful version has a 6-speed manual transmission and it’s coming in front-wheel drive while the other one has a six-speed automatic, which can send power to the all-wheel drive, or it can also be had with the 6-speed manual and FWD. Fiat will launch the Freemont cross this fall. Prices remain unknown for the moment.
