Fiat has recently announced the launch of the Freemont in Australia, where the model is the cheapest mid-sized SUV, costing 25,990 AUD.
According to the car manufacturer, the cheapest version of the Fiat Freemont, the “Base”, is coming with dual-zone climate control, rear parking sensors, dipping rearview mirror, leather wrapped steering wheel, keyless entry and start, active front headrests, tire pressure monitor, 4.3-inch touch screen for the Uconnect infotainment system with CD player, AUX, Bluetooth, voice command and more. the mid-range Freemont “Urban” is adding the leather wrapped gear shift lever, the six-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, the DVD player and the 8.4-inch infotainment screen.
The mid-range is priced from 28,300 AUD. If the top of the line Freemont “Lounge” is what you’re looking for, you should know that this will set you back for 30,000 AUD, and the model includes the satellite navigation system with Alpine audio system, subwoofer an 368-watt amplifier, chrome roof bars, leather trim, heated front seats and 19-inch alloy wheels. A choice of two engine is being offered on the Freemont in Australia, the 2.4 liter four-cylinder petrol, with 125 kW and 220 Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic, and a 2.0 liter MultiJet II turbo diesel, with 125 kW and 350 Nm of torque, available only with a six-speed manual transmission.
