The Italian based automaker Fiat is planning to develop a new model, a Panda XL crossover, which should hit the market over the following months.
A new model signed by Fiat is getting ready to hit the market and this will be the so-called Panda XL. According to the most recent reports which have appeared throughout the German automotive media, the Italian based automaker Fiat will use the same platform which underpins the 500X and the upcoming entry-level Jeep in order to create the future Panda XL crossover. The Fiat Panda XL is expected to share some of the components with the two models mentioned above.
The Fiat Panda XL will come in standard with two-wheel drive while the higher grades will be able to receive the all-wheel drive system as an option. The Fiat Panda XL will most likely be produced at the Melfi plant, if it will receive the green lights. The same assembly line will also give birth to the 500X and the new entry-level Jeep, starting early next year. Additional details on the Fiat Panda XL are limited for the moment and will probably be announced close to its debut.
