Fiat has released the first official images and details with a brand new concept car based on the 500L, the so-called 500L Vans Concept, which is debuting at the 2014 Vans US Open of Surfing.
Fiat’s newest creation is named the 500L Vans Concept and this is a one-off vehicle which has been created for the 2014 Vans US Open of Surfing. The model in question has been inspired from the well-known producer of shoes, VANS, which is very popular amongst surfers and skaters and it has been designed with those of you who spend a lot of time at the beach in mind.
“As we continue to launch new products, including the all-new automatic Fiat 500 Abarth, the US Open of Surfing remains a great platform to showcase the depth of our portfolio and interact with the young audience attending this event”, said the head of the Fiat brand of North America, Jason Stoicevich.
The Fiat 500L Vans Concept is coming with four rings of LED daytime running lights, a new front grille, a 3-tone exterior paint job, a roof rack holding two surfboards, the checkerboard pattern on the roof, VANS stickers in the cabin, canvas seats, waffle sole tread pattern for the pedals and storage bins and more. The model in question has a 1.4 liter turbocharged MultiAir gasoline engine under its hood, rated at 160 HP (119 kW) and connected to a 6-speed manual transmission. The one-off concept car will be on display until August 3.
