The Italian based automaker Fiat has recently announced its plans to introduce a new engine on the 500L, on the 500L Trekking and on the 500L Living models.
According to the car manufacturer, the Fiat 500L, the 500L Trekking and the 500L Living will receive a new engine, in the shape of a 1.4 liter Turbo T-Jet unit. The 500L, equipped with this unit, will set you back for 20,920 euros, the 500L Trekking will cost 21,626 euros and prices for the 500L Living will be set at 20,063 euros.
“In today at the Fiat sales network in Italy, you can order the 1.4 engine Turbo T-Jet 120 bhp models 500L, 500L and 500L Trekking Living. A few weeks after the launch of the new 120 hp 1.6 MultiJet II, is further expanding the range of 500 with an engine family that is characterized by prompt acceleration, robustness and reliability”, said the carmaker in its official press release.
The new 1.4 liter Turbo T-Jet engine is producing a total output of 120 HP (88 kW) and it has a peak torque of 215 Nm (158 lb-ft). The 0 to 100 km/h sprint, in the 500L, takes 10.2 seconds, and top speed stands at 189 km/h (117 mph).
