The first unit of the brand new Toyota Corolla generation has been recently produced in Turkey, at the Sakarya facility, and it was celebrated by the Japanese and Turkish officials.
After it was officially introduced just a few weeks ago, the new generation of the Toyota Corolla is getting closer to its future customers, as the first unit of the model has just rolled off the assembly line at the Sakarya plant in Turkey. The first unit of the 11th Toyota Corolla generation was finished in white and it was celebrated by the company’s Turkish and Japanese officials.
The new generation of the Toyota Corolla, produced in Sakarya, Turkey, will be exported to Europe, to Africa, to Central Asia and to the Middle East. The model in question will be joined by the Corolla Estate and by the Auris hatchback, which are produced in England. The Toyota Corolla can be assembled in Turkey after the carmaker has made a 150 million euro investment into the facility, creation 900 jobs. The total capacity of the plant will be reached in 2014, and it will indicate 150,000 units annually. The same plant is also assembling the Verso model and it was opened by Toyota back in 1994.
