The first 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 will be auctioned in Palm Beach, next month, as all proceeds will be heading towards the Karmanos Cancer Institute.
Chevrolet has recently announced in a statement that the first 2015 Corvette Z06 will be auctioned in Palm Beach, at the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction, on the 12th of April. Proceeds from the “event” will be heading towards the Karmanos Cancer Institute and they will be used to improve the infusion center.
“Chevrolet’s donation of the first 2015 Corvette Z06 produced is yet another way that we are showing our continued support of the Karmanos Cancer Institute. The funds raised from the auction will help further the exceptional patient care that Karmanos is known for in our community and across the country”, said Dan Ammann, the General Motors president.
As you probably already know by now, the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 has been officially introduced during this year’s North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), in Detroit, and it’s powered by the LT4 6.2 liter V8 engine. The unit is rated at 625 HP (466 kW) and 861 Nm (635 lb-ft) of torque, thanks to the 1.7L Eaton supercharger and the intercooler. Power is sent to the rear wheels though a 7-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic.
