Ford has recently announced its plans to auction the first unit of the 2015 Mustang GT next month, during the Barrett-Jackson auction in Arizona.
The first private owner of the brand new 2015 Ford Mustang GT will be settled on the 18th of January, in Scottsdale, Arizona, during the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction. All proceeds from selling the muscle car in question will go to a leading global organization funding the type 1 diabetes research, so besides getting a new ride in your garage, you will also do a good deed.
“We’re kicking off the next 50 years of Mustang in style with a 2015 model featuring a sleek all-new design, world-class performance and innovative technologies. We’re thrilled to be able to take advantage of Mustang’s popularity to help achieve the dream of ending juvenile diabetes”, said Steve Ling, the Ford North America Car Marketing Manager.
According to the North American based automaker, the winning bidder will be able to order the muscle car in any color and trim combination, and this should be something important considering the fact that the model in question will not be built for several months. Power to the 2015 Ford Mustang GT will be provided by a 5.0 liter V8 engine, which will produce more than 420 HP (313 kW) and 528 Nm (390 lb-ft) of torque. More details on the model will be announced next year.
