First 2015 Shelby GT350 Mustang to be auctioned image

Ford has recently announced its plans to auction the first 2015 Shelby GT350 Mustang, at the Barrett-Jackson event in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Ford will play in the big boys league once again by auctioning the first unit of the 2015 Shelby GT350 Mustang. This will be finding a new owner at the Barrett-Jackson collector car auction in Scottsdale, Arizona, as the muscle car will be offered without a reserve. The winning bidder will be able to select the paint color and the options added to the vehicle and all proceeds will benefit the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).

The 2015 Shelby GT350 Mustang has been officially presented to the public during the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show, a month ago. The model in question is getting an aerodynamic body kit, which is making it recognizable as a Shelby, 19-inch alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, Brembo brakes, My Touch Ford infotainment system, unique gauges, Recaro sport seats, dual-zone climate control and so on. Power is being provided by a 5.2 liter V8 engine, which is rated at 500 HP and 400 lb-ft of torque, sent to the rear wheels through a standard 6-speed manual transmission.
