First batch of owners of the Aston Martin Vulcan got to play on the track image

The initial owners of the spectacular track-only Aston Martin Vulcan have been invited to spend some time on the circuit and get some tips from an experienced team of racing drivers.

The event took place recently on the famed Abu Dhabi YAS Marina Formula 1 track where the Vulcan owners have been initiated in the road-going V12 Vantage S and the track-only Vantage GT4 before experiencing the mighty Vulcan – the crown jewel of Aston Martin. The bunch was among the 24 lucky owners of the model, which had to pay a cool $2.3M for the Vulcan, Gaydon’s ultimate race car. The Vulcan customers had the chance to experience various driving conditions as the test drives span the entire day and even went into the night. Aston Martin Racing works’ driver Darren Turner took responsibility of the team of “professors” – Vulcan owners have actually embarked on a three-year driver experience program.

Aston Martin has also used the event to finally reveal the exact power of the “monster” – 820 horsepower (611 kilowatts). Until now the world only knew the naturally-aspirated 7.0-liter V12 behemoth sported in excess of 800 hp, so the mathematicians inside our brains are now happy to have the exact figure. By the way, since the Vulcan is a great business case, somebody has already sold its example and the model can be had in the US for an eye-popping $3.4 million.
