The North American based automaker Cadillac has recently announced the delivery of the first 2014 CTS Vsport in its home market.
After what has been quite a long wait, the first unit of the 2014 Cadillac CTS Vsport has been finally delivered to its first customers. The new lucky owners are named Tim and Pat Whited and they are living in Nederland, Colorado. The couple has bought the car in question back in August, at the Barrett-Jackson auction, where they had to pay 120,000 USD before laying their hands on the car. Proceeds were donated to support the SAE Foundation.
The Cadillac CTS Vsport has been officially introduced just earlier this year. The model is taking its power from a 3.6 liter twin turbo V6 engine, which is producing a total output of 420 HP (313 kW), at 5,750 rpm. The peak torque developed by the unit stands at 583 Nm (430 lb-ft), available between 3,500 rpm and 4,500 rpm. The unit is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. According to the car manufacturer, the new Cadillac CTS Vsport has managed to lap the famous Nurburgring in just 8 minutes and 14,10 seconds, 6 seconds faster than the original CTS-V.
