The very first recorded incident involving the brand new Ferrari LaFerrari hybrid supercar is also including a truck and, most likely, a sad customer.
Exotic and powerful rides combined with not enough driving experience and a small dose of “Watch this!” will save you a spot in our Car Crashes section, this is what we used to say about situations similar to this one, but the incident pictured above has nothing to do the driver of the Italian supercar. The Ferrari LaFerrari in question was rear ended by a truck. Sadly we have no other details on the subject but we know that this is the first recorded incident of such a vehicle. If you know more about the crash than we do, please feel free to share.
The Ferrari LaFerrari has been officially unveiled, in its production form, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show and its staring price has been set at 1,3 million euros. Power is being provided by a 6,3 liter V12 engine, producing 800 HP (588 kW) and 700 Nm of torque, being backed up by an electric motor, which is good for 163 HP (120 kW) and 270 Nm (199 lb-ft) of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes less than 3 seconds, thanks to the 963 HP (708 kW), and top speed is limited to 350 km/h (217 mph).
