The first generation of the Audi R8 has received a limited edition in Canada, for the last hurrah of the supercar.
Audi still seems to have some unsold units of the first edition R8 and some of them have transformed into a limited edition in Canada. We don’t actually know who will go for them instead of the newer version but we have to admit that this looks pretty hot. The model in question has been called the Audi R8 LM and it is bringing a well-deserved retirement for the vehicle. This is bringing the trendy white finish for its body, individually numbered door sills, the illuminated R8 LM logo and several other goodies.
If you are curious what is found under its hood, then you should know that the same 5.2 liter naturally aspirated V10 engine has been maintained. This is capable of putting down a total of 570 HP (419 kW) and a peak torque of 540 Nm (398 lb-ft). Power is being sent to the Quattro all-wheel drive system though a 7-speed S tronic transmission and this setup is allowing the supercar to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.4 seconds and to go up to a top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph). Audi hasn’t released the official pricing figures for the new R8 LM limited edition but you should know that production will be limited to just 8 units. The second-generation of the supercar is not available yet on the North American continent.
