Mercedes-Benz has recently announced the production of the first long wheelbase version of the new C-Class generation, the so-called C-Class L.
The German based automaker’s newest creation is named the Mercedes-Benz C-Class L and the model in question has recently rolled off the production line. It will become available exclusively in China, which is also its birth place. The vehicle will go on sale in September and it should attract more customers into the brand, considering the fact that long wheelbase cars are highly appreciated in the Asian country.
“The C-Class is at the core of our development in China. With more than 150,000 vehicles of the predecessor model delivered to customers, China has already become the second-largest market for the C-Class. Now we are taking the next step: designed and developed for China, produced exclusively in China, our all-new long-wheelbase C-Class is destined to become one of our top growth drivers here”, said the member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG for China, Hubertus Troska.
The brand new Mercedes-Benz C-Class L is now standing in at 4,766 mm in length and it has a wheelbase which has been stretched by 80 mm. The model is also getting a new front passenger seat which can be adjusted by the rear seat passengers. No more details on this version of the new C-Class generation have been released yet and chances are these will be announced over the following months.
