Kia recently released the first official photo of the Kia cee’d Station Wagon version, an extremely important model for the South Korean automotive producer.
Both the hatchback and the station wagon variants of the 2012 Cee’d feature a 2,650mm long wheelbase and will be offered with up to five diesel and gasoline engines with improved fuel economy and CO2 figures. The new C-segment model features what is described as a premium interior, with a cockpit-style driver-oriented design, and several controls integrated into the steering wheel such as air conditioning and audio controls.
Although the company didn’t offer details, it is expected that the estate will offer the same tech stuff as the hatch, the customers being able to choose between five petrol and diesel units, as well as a six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic transmission. The Kia Cee’d will only be launched in Europe, riding the same platform as the Hyundai i30. Among the exterior features are included Kia’s tiger nosed grille, sweeping roofline, integral rear spoiler and LED infused headlamps.
