Tesla Motors has recently announced the official opening of the company’s first dealership in the United Kingdom. According to the car manufacturer, the people living in the UK can now order the Tesla Model S, for which they will have to pay at least 49,900 GBP.
“Tesla is taking the UK market very seriously, and there are more stores and service centers to come. We’re also going to establish a Supercharger network so Model S customers will be able to drive long distances anywhere in the UK using our network for free, forever”, said Elon Musk, the Tesla CEO.
The Tesla Model has been in production since 2012 and it’s currently being assembled in Freemont, California. The model is getting a 416 HP (310 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) electric motor, which, on the 85 kWh version, it can provide a total range of 426 km (265 miles). Prices for the Tesla Model S in the United States start at 69,900 USD.
