Fisker Automotive is planning to reveal the production version of the Surf model at the 2012 Paris Motor Show in September.
After it has been officially presented as a concept car at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, the production version of the Fisker Surf is almost here, and the model will make its debut one year after we’ve all seen it, at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, which will open its gates in September. Production costs of the Fisker Surf will be kept low, because the model will be manufactured on the same platform as the Karma, and the two “green” vehicles will also share the same hybrid drive system.
According to Fisker Automotive, the Surf model will offer two driving modes, Sport and Stealth, and even if it’s too obvious on what each of them will do, I would still love to say “use the Stealth mode!”. The Fisker Surf will offer a total driving range of 300 miles, out of which 50 miles will be electric and emissions free, and the model is expected to go against the Ferrari FF with its more efficient fuel option.
More details on the Fisker Surf will be announced once the production version of the model will be officially presented to the public in September, at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. Meantime, as a small reminder, the concept car was powered by a 2.0 liter turbo engine, which was developing 255 HP, along with two electric motors, placed on the rear axle, generating 400 HP.
