A rare example of the BMW M5 30 Jahre special edition is currently being offered for sale for less than half the amount of the initial price.
This particular BMW M5 30 Jahre special edition was one extremely expensive ride and billionaire Rick Hendrick has paid no less than 700,000 USD for his. Now, this is being offered for sale for less than half that cost, meaning that it can be yours from 325,000 USD. This was the last model to be available in the United States and considering that its initial price was 138,275 USD, it remains to be seen whether its asking price is justified.
Only 300 units of the BMW M5 Jahre have been offered across the globe, with 30 of them being aimed towards the United States, and this is a 30th Anniversary model. Almost all of them have been sold, overseas, by telephone on the day when it was offered for sale on the North American market and this particular ride has traveled for just 200 miles (320 km), meaning that it is brand new. Visually it looks impeccable and it is wearing the Frozen Silver Metallic paint, along with the Full Merino leather and the Black Alcantara in the cabin.
The particular model has been auctioned back in January for 700,000 USD, at the Barrett-Jackson, in Scottsdale, Arizona, and proceeds have benefit the BMW Club of America Foundation, organizing driver safety programs and charitable actions. Power to the ride is provided by a 4.4 liter V8 engine, rated at 600 HP (441 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque, allowing it to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 305 km/h (190 mph).
