Ford has recently announced its plans to offer the 1964th Mustang 50 Year Limited Edition at an auction, the Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas, next month.
The 1964th Mustang 50 Year Limited Edition will be offered for auction by the North American based automaker. The announcement has been recently made and the muscle car in question will be finding a new owner at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Las Vegas, in September. The winning bidder will also receive a VIP package for the Ford EcoBoost 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup, at the Homestead-Miami Speedway, on the 16th of November, which includes the hotel accommodations, airfare and two VIP tickets to the event.
“The visceral look, sound and performance of Mustang resonates with people, even if they’ve never driven one. Mustang is definitely more than just a car – it is the heart and soul of Ford Motor Company”, said Raj Nair, the Ford group vice president for Global Product Development.
The Ford Mustang 50 Year Limited Edition talked about is coming with the two-tone leather upholstery, with the 19-inch alloy wheels, wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires, Performance Package and it has been based on the Mustang GT, meaning that it packs a 5.0 liter V8 engine under its hood, rated at 435 HP (324 kW) and 541 Nm (400 lb-ft) of torque. Ford says that proceeds from the auction will benefit the Edith and Benson Ford Heart & Vascular Institute.
