Ford Motor Company has seen a 10% increase in its sales last month, with 212.236 purchases in North America, having its best July in 8 years.
Vice president of marketing, sales and service – Jon Felice – said that “July proved to be a very good month for Ford and Lincoln with positive gains across the board and in all the major segments. Escape and Fusion were big contributors to our sales increases, with both setting July sales records. F-Series again topped the 60.000 vehicles sales mark and we’re seeing great initial demand for our launch vehicles, such as the Transit Connect, Transit Connect Wagon and the Lincoln MKC.”
Compared to July 2013, the Ford Fusion posted an all-time monthly sales record this year, with 23.942 cars sold, accounting for a gain of 17%. The Western parts of the United States led to an increase in the Fusion’s sales, as it has been the case for the first half of the year. Ford Explorer made SUV’s best July since 2005 with 16.797 units sold, ad for the Escape, its sales grew 19%, setting an all-time record for July 2014. Also this July, the updated F-Series, the light-duty and the heavy-duty models, represented 63.240 trucks sold and a rise of 5% compared to last year’s month. The recently launched 2015 Lincoln MKC premium crossover has already got 1.534 models this last month.
