Ford has recently announced its plans to introduce a new global SUV to the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, which is believed to be the European version of the Edge.
The North American based automaker Ford has already announced its plans to introduce the Edge to the Old Continent sometimes next year and it seems that the model in question is now more closer to its future European customers than ever. According to the car company, the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, which will officially open its gates next month, will host the new global SUV made by Ford.
The European Ford Edge is believed to use the same platform as the Mondeo and this means that the model will be the largest Ford SUV in Europe. The new European Ford Edge will become the third SUV in the company’s lineup, available for order in Europe, after the EcoSport, which is based on the Fiesta and the Kuga, which is based on the Focus. The large SUV, which will ride on the same platform as the new Mondeo generation and it will become a rival for models like the Volkswagen Touareg. Additional details on the subject are limited for the moment and will be announced in L.A. next month.
