Ford has released some performance specifications on the V6 engines equipping the 2015 F-150.
If you were curious what the performance specifications of the 2015 Ford F-150 are, don’t be, because thanks to the North American based automaker, these have been recently released. The 2015 Ford F-150, in its entry-level version, is taking its power from a 3.5 liter V6 engine, rated at 283 HP (211 kW) and 345 Nm (255 lb-ft) of torque. This version is said to have a maximum towing capacity of 3,447 kg (7,600 lbs) and a maximum payload of 866 kg (1,910 lbs).
The other version of the 2015 Ford F-150 is being powered by a 2.7 liter EcoBoost V6 engine. According to the car manufacturer, the unit in question is producing a total output of 325 HP (242 kW) and it has a peak torque of 507 Nm (375 lb-ft). The rear-wheel drive versions will be getting a maximum tow rating of 3,855 kg (8,500 lbs) and they will have a maximum payload of 1,020 kg (2,250 lbs). This variant has a stop/start system which has been specifically tuned for truck customers. No fuel economy data has been released yet by the carmaker.
