Ford EcoSport gets slightly updated image

Ford’s sub-compact crossover, the EcoSport, has received some updates on its European version.

The 2016 Ford EcoSport is getting ready to arrive with its future customers with its extra features. The model in question has eliminated the rear-mounted spare tire, it has received the 10 mm reduced ride height for improved handling, a retuned suspension system with new springs, dampers and a rear torsion beam, retuned power steering and ESC For European roads and several other goodies which should make it even more popular.

“EcoSport was developed in some of the most rigorous terrains and climates across the globe to make it an even more compelling option for customers as part of our growing European SUV range. In addition, the team at Lommel Proving Ground in Belgium have further enhanced the driving dynamics to make the new EcoSport even more fun to drive on European roads”, said the Ford of Europe product development vice president, Joe Bakaj.

The most significant changes have been performed in the cabin where we can find the partial leather seats on the Titanium, the Winter Pack which is adding the heated side mirrors, heated windscreen and heated front seats, the additional chrome trim, the relocated handbrake, the new steering wheel, the extra options such as the navigation system or the rearview camera. The 1.5 liter TDCi has been improved and this is now rated at 95 HP (70 kW), 5 HP (3 kW) more than before. The vehicle is returning 4.4L / 100km when equipped with this engine and it is emitting 115 g/km of CO2.
