Ford EcoSport spied in Thailand

Spy photographers have managed to catch the Ford EcoSport on the roads in Thailand while it was being tested.

After it was launched in several markets across the globe over the past months, the Ford EcoSport is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of some spy photos, which are showing the small crossover while being tested on the roads of Thailand. The Ford EcoSport will be launched in the Asian country too and the model will also be produced there, and Thailand will become the fourth manufacturing place for the vehicle after Brazil, China and India.

The Ford EcoSport will be launched in India this year and it will be followed by an arrival in Thailand, but we don’t know if the model will get the same engine options as the one in Europe. As a quick reminder, on the Old Continent, the EcoSport is coming with a 1.6 liter four-cylinder petrol engine, on the Old Continent, which is producing a total output of 113 HP and 115 lb-ft of torque. The model is able to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 11.9 seconds before reaching a top speed of 112 mph. Other units available are the 1.0 EcoBoost, the 1.5 TiVCT, the 2.0L and the 1.5L Duratorq TDCI. The model is a direct rival for the Nissan Juke, Opel / Vauxhall Mokka, Peugeot 2008 and other vehicles in the segment.
