Ford has recently introduced the new Edge Concept in Barcelona, in an European debut, previewing a future production version which will be launched on the Old Continent in a couple of years.
After officially unveiling the Ford Edge Concept last month, during the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, the North American based automaker has placed the model into the spotlights once again, this time with the company introducing it in Europe, in a premiere.
“The all-new Ford Edge Concept gives consumers in Europe a tantalising glimpse of the upscale Ford SUV experience that’s waiting just around the corner. We are seeing strong demand for high quality products that confer status, and give a greater sense of freedom and confidence on the road”, said the Europe, Middle East and Africa Ford executive vice president, Stephen Odell.
The new Ford Edge Concept is serving as a preview of a future global SUV. The model in question has received features like the fully assisted parking, which is allowing the driver to park it by pressing a button or a remote control, thanks to its ultrasonic sensors, which can detect the perpendicular parking space, or other sensors, used to avoid obstacles. The model also has the adaptive cruise control, the blind spot information system, lane keeping assist, cameras at all four corners and more.
