After a 44% growth in June, Ford reported selling alongside its China partners a total of 72, 834 vehicles in July, a 71% increase over the same period of 2012.
Ford is enjoying a good July month in sales, with strong volumes in the US especially for individual consumers, but is also fairing very well in one of the hottest auto markets in the world, China.
Here, after the strong growth accounted in June, the Dearborn, Michigan-based automaker managed an even more impressive increase for the month of July, in trend with the increase accounted for the whole year. Hence, in the first seven months of 2013, Ford Motor Company and its local Chinese partners totaled 480,555 vehicles on a wholesale basis, up 50 percent from the same period last year.
The sales were strong as usual for the Focus, which led again in July, with 32,920 wholesale units sold – an increase of 77% for this particular model in July.
