Ford is planning to develop a new high performance Falcon GT which has been codenamed the Panther and is expected to be officially presented to the public during the Australia Motor Show in October.
Even if there is no official word on this subject from the North American based automaker just yet, the guys at in a massive effort to attract more customers from Australia into the brand. Our source is also saying that the Ford Falcon GT is most likely to make its debut in October, during the Australia Motor Show, as a concept car.
The Ford Falcon GT has been codenamed the Panther and the model will be powered by a 5.0 liter V8 engine which is developing a total output of 449 horsepower and it has a peak torque of 420 lb-ft (570 Nm). The Ford Falcon GT will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than five seconds, before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). The muscle car will also get revised gearing, a modified suspension, 19-inch alloy wheels and more.
