The Ford Fiesta lineup has just gotten a little bigger after the automaker launched the Metal Edition in the UK, coming with a sporty engine to animate its future customers until they will be able to get their hands on the new Fiesta ST.
“The Ford Fiesta Special Edition gives the customer great exterior styling with an enhanced performance engine. Customers love that we create Fiestas with special features that prove to be real head-turners”, said the Ford of Britain’s marketing director, Anthony Ireson.
According to the automaker, the limited edition of the Metal Fiesta is powered by a 1.6 liter Duratec Ti-VCT petrol engine, delivering 134 horsepower at 6.700 rpm and 160 Nm of torque at 4.250 rpm, accelerating from 0 to 62 mpg in just 8.7 seconds.
Ford says that the special edition of the Fiesta is based on the popular three-door Zetec-S and it’s coming with a silver-painted grille surround, front aerofoil and front fog light bezels, chrome twin exhaust pipes, Ebony Black leather sports seats with silver contrast stitching, unique floor mats, stainless steel door scuff plates, 17 inch Black alloy wheels and a sports tuning suspension with lowered ride height.
The Ford Fiesta Metal comes in standard with ESP, EPAS (Electric Power-Assisted Steering), Home Safe headlights, Intelligent Protection System (IPS), front, side and knee airbags, ABS and EBD.
Only 1.000 Fiestas Metal Edition will be made and customers will have to choose from Panther Black, Midnight Sky and Frozen white, for the price of 15.695 British pounds.
