Ford has recently announced the official starting price of the new Fiesta ST in Australia, where the model will become the country’s cheapest hot hatch once it will hit dealerships next month.
According to the car manufacturer, the 2013 Ford Fiesta ST will set you back for just 25,995 AUD in the Pacific country. This will make it the most affordable hot hatch on sale in the market, being followed by the Skoda Fabia RS, which costs 27,990 AUD, by the Volkswagen Polo GTI, priced at 27,790 AUD and by the Opel Corsa OPC, which starts at 28,990 AUD. The new-gen Renault Clio RS is said to be over 30,000 AUD once it will arrive in Australia.
The 2013 Ford Fiesta ST is powered by a 1.6 liter four-cylinder EcoBoost petrol engine, which is producing a total output of 134 kW and it has a peak torque of 240 Nm. This is enough for a 0 to 100 km/h sprint made in 6.8 seconds. The average fuel consumption in the Fiesta ST is said to stand at 6.2L / 100km. The Fiesta ST will benefit from the Emergency Assistance function, which will use the driver’s mobile phone to call emergency services in case of a crash. The model will go on sale in Australia on the 27-28th of August.
